Gluten-Free Baking Recipe - Baked Sweet Potatoes with Turmeric & Cinnamon
Sweet Potatoes contain complex carbohydrates, a great option to replace grains. It's high in fiber, vitamins (A, B, C, and E), potassium, manganese, and anti-inflammatory properties. It also prevents cancer. This recipe is the most simple way to cook sweet potatoes. Not only it's so delicious, but it also reduces inflammation because of other ingredients, such as turmeric and cinnamon.
Ingredients:
2 cups peeled and cubed sweet potatoes or butternut squash, or pumpkins (2-inch long in length and width)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
pinches of cinnamon powder
sea salt or pink salt to taste
melted coconut oil or avocado oil
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees (F).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place sweet potatoes on it. Mix in sea salt, turmeric powder, cinnamon powder, and oil. Use your hands to mix all ingredients to ensure the sweet potatoes are evenly coated with other ingredients.
Evenly spread sweet potatoes on the baking sheet, place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 30 minutes until there is a little bit of browning outside.
